Event Description
The Chuncheon SF Film Festival (CCFF), which has introduced independent films to Chuncheon citizens, plans to meet audiences and filmmakers through independent SF films along with Chuncheon City, which aims for Cinema City in 2022.
CCFF is a film festival for citizens of Chuncheon, cinephiles who love genre films, and filmmakers who make independent SF films. Sci-Fi films, as global blockbusters dominating the global film market with enormous investments, are well represented in this festival. CCFF will once again unfold the genre’s dream; ‘True Science Fiction Begins with Imagination and Possibility.’
Since Georges Méliès first started Science Fiction with “A Trip to The Moon”, independent Sci-Fi films have been making excellent aesthetic accomplishments with limited budgets and unlimited imagination. These accomplishments cannot be achieved either with advanced technology or with finance alone. With the rapid development of science and technology along with visions, the imagination and predictions that sci-fi films have shown are becoming reality rather than fantasy.
CCFF is closely monitoring international situation regarding COVID-19, which has been going on for three years, and will follow the Korean government’s quarantine guidelines when the film festival is taking place. We are also doing everything we can to ensure that the venue is safe for attendees to minimize the possibility of contracting COVID-19.

Rules & Terms
1) All Films must have been completed after January 2021 and be subtitled in English. (Including the films of English dialogue because of Festival Screening)
2) Classification of a Feature film and a Short film
Features : more than 60 minutes of running time
Shorts : less than 60 minutes of running time
